Dams and Reservoirs Safety Management

We provide safety control, monitoring, analysis and assessment services for dams and reservoirs in any kind of ownership according to the Spanish regulation and the best practices globally accepted. This management is based on control, visual inspection, monitoring, periodic safety checks, regular maintenance, observation of the operating rules proven in practice, and emergency plans and risks analysis implementation.

Wetlands Management

We support the development of the National Wetlands Mapping System, aimed at assessing and managing flood risks and reducing flood negative impact according to the Floods Directive (2007/60/EC). This work includes assessment studies prior to flood risk, wetlands mapping and management plans drawing up.

Decision Support Systems

We develop and implement Decision Support Systems for floods early warning and management in real time that optimize actions and measures adopted during floods forecasting and actual occurrence: plans implementation, hydraulic infrastructures (especially dams) implementation, warning and alleviation measures. DSSs, which are connected to Automatic Hydrological Information Systems (AHISs), collect, organize and process remote control, forecasts and hydro-meteorological models data in real time.

Rivers restoration

We carry on studies and projects compliant with the Water Framework Directive, the aim of which is preserving and restoring the ecological condition of rivers, thus promoting their precious environmental heritage and highlighting their benefits. These actions include: rivers environmental conditions assessment, analysis of the pressures and impacts rivers are subject to, search for a reference moment prior to these problems, definition of the steps to be followed taking into account socioeconomic determinant factors, and design of a project that includes protecting and correcting measures to achieve previously fixed goals.

Urban Water Infrastructures

Design, supervision, control, surveillance and management of the construction of urban water infrastructures, as well as subsequent maintenance, conservation and operation. These infrastructures provide water to the population and subsequently return it to the receiving environment in compliance with current legislation (Directive 91/271/EEC concerning Wastewater Treatment and Water Framework Directive (WFD) which includes this and other Directives relating to water).
